Arkansas has begun the search for Jessica Dorrell’s replacement within the football program. A job posting for a “on campus recruiting coordinator” is the same position held briefly by Dorrell, who resigned her post after an affair with former coach Bobby Petrino was revealed. Following Dorrell’s resignation as student athlete development coordinator the UA said current football staff members would handle her duties in-house for an unspecified period of time.

Jessica Dorrell has resigned as the student athlete development coordinator for football. Dorrell will get $14,000 from the UA as part of a "settlement and resolution of all matters between the parties," according to a UA release. Athletic Director Jeff Long said both the UA and Dorrell agreed resignation was in the best interest of the athletic department and Dorrell.

The University of Arkansas released documents Thursday related to Jessica Dorrell's hiring, which Athletic Director Jeff Long this week said didn't follow typical protocol. Long said Petrino failed to disclose his conflict of interest in recommending his mistress get an open job as a recruiting coordinator at an annual salary of $55,735. Long sent a March 19 request to university officials to waive the usual, 30-day wait period so they could fill the recruiting coordinator job. The documents include Petrino's statement on why Dorrell was his favored choice out of 159 applicants and three finalists.
