A graduate of the Jones School of Architecture at the University of Arkansas, Joe Stanley started his architectural career in 1971 in Memphis. In 1977, he moved back to Arkansas to start Polk Stanley. In 2009, after a merger with The Wilcox Group, Stanley was named CEO.

From its founding, and after merging with the Wilcox Group Architects, Polk Stanley Wilcox Architects now has almost 50 full- and part-time employees in offices in Little Rock and Fayetteville. Stanley is the firm’s CEO.

These deserving individuals: Randy McNulty, Kent Pettit, PE, Jack See, FAIA and Joe Stanley, AIA will certainly add to the impressive list of names in the Hall of Fame.

Presented by Centennial Bank and Arkansas Business, the 2009 Arkansas Business of the Year Awards honored small businesses, nonprofits and executives from the Statehouse Convention Center. Joe Stanley was named business executive of the year; Custom XM was chosen in category I; Advanced Cabling Systems in category II; Delta Plastics of the South in category III; Kathy Manis Findley as nonprofit executive of the year; and Friendship Community Care Inc. for nonprofit organization of the year.
