So far six Arkansas football players have been arrested this spring, including five allegedly involved in taking property that isn't theirs. They have nobody to blame but themselves. Bobby Petrino, John L. Smith and the NCAA aren't at fault for their stupidity.
Suspended Arkansas players Marquel Wade, Mardrecus Humphrey and Andrew Peterson were released on bond Sunday following their arrest on felony residential burglary charges. Wade posted $2,500 bond, while Humphrey and Peterson posted $3,500 each prior to their release at 4:18 p.m. All three were arrested Saturday after allegedly stealing nearly $5,000 in books, DVDs, cash and laptops from unlocked dorm rooms.
Arkansas freshman wide receiver Kane Whitehurst was arrested Sunday for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Whitehurst, 19, was released from the Washington County Detention Center on Sunday after posting $1,320 bond. University of Arkansas police arrested Whitehurst early Sunday morning.
