There is a next logical step in showing respect to Nolan Richardson. Former players have already begun work behind the scenes to ensure appreciation for Richardson isn't limited to a museum, the pages of a book, the occasional pep rally celebrating the 1994 National Championship or a documentary. Arkansas needs a more permanent reminder of what he accomplished as a coach, what a great ambassador he was for the state and how hard he fought for others.

Former UA assistant Mike Anderson, announced Wednesday evening as Arkansas' new head coach, was on staff during the best run in school history. Arkansas won 389 games, the 1994 national title and went to three Final Fours with him on the bench. But if the Anderson hire appeals to you only because he was at the school for 17 years, then it's time to put away the Starter jacket, Ace of Base CD and VHS tapes. You've missed out on a lot that Anderson has accomplished since leaving.
