Arkansas linebacker Alonzo Highsmith wasn’t caught off guard Wednesday when asked about the team’s recent poor tackling performances. Why? “I mean, it’s the truth. We missed a lot of tackles these last couple games,” Highsmith said. “The truth hurts. At the same time it’s something that needs to be addressed.” Highsmith said the team has focused on additional tackling drills this week. Extra attention is being paid to making stops because of so many missed tackles against Alabama and Texas A&M.

WHY ARKANSAS LOST This one was a total collapse in all phases, particularly on defense and special teams. Arkansas gave up 65 points, 470 yards of offense and allowed Auburn to average 44.2 yards per kick return. A pair of questionable calls by the replay official didn’t help the Razorbacks’ cause, but take away the 14 points on those scores and the Razorbacks still didn’t do enough - especially when it came to stopping Tigers quarterback Cam Newton.

OK, we all get Mike Dyer's reasons, according to the freshman Auburn Tiger running back, for choosing Auburn over Arkansas during the recruiting process last winter. At this point in his short Auburn career, Dyer can probably use a more diplomatic way to explain it, however.
