The Museum of Discovery hosted a reception in honor of longtime Executive Director Nan Selz, who retired at the end of 2012. Family, friends and staff attended and wished Selz well in the next chapter of her life. New director Kelley Bass was also in attendance.

Nan Selz Ready To Blow Away Patrons In Newly Renovated Museum of Discovery

Nan Selz see 2012 as being a big year for the Museum of Discovery. The façade, entry hall and Explore Store are all brand new. The galleries are completely renovated, with better sight lines and a much more open feel. Room to Grow, the 3,000-square-foot, early childhood gallery, stayed pretty much the same, but it has been spiffed up with new paint and flooring.
