Hayseed, which moved into the Old Post Office building on the downtown Fayetteville square, hopes to raise $6 million to help the next generation of Acumens. James said Hayseed has already partnered with four startups and is consulting a fifth.
John James, the Acumen Brands founder who now focuses most of his time on launching Hayseed Ventures in Fayetteville, has a vision for the historic Old Post Office building that anchors the Fayetteville downtown square.
After a $1.5 million deal, Innovate Arkansas firm Acumen Brands of Fayetteville will use the 13,000-SF 102-year-old building as a brick and mortar location for online apparel store Country Outfitter and also offer handbags from Maple & West, which previously existed only as online businesses. Aug. 30 is scheduled as the grand opening.
