Arkansas lost several contributors off the 2011 football team and stands to take another hit this year when some key seniors head to the NFL as well as a few juniors who could declare early for the draft. The fact Arkansas is losing so many players from the past two years has caused it to hit the junior colleges extremely hard. The Razorbacks could sign the most junior college players this year they have signed in several years a source said.

by Otis Kirk, Hawgs247.com 4/19/2012 7:00 am

Arkansas' football recruiting understandably suffered a setback when Bobby Petrino was fired as head coach 10 days ago, but the current staff hasn't quit recruiting. On Tuesday, Fort Smith Southside tight end John Hunton, 6-4, 245, was at Arkansas on an unofficial visit. Hunton is one of the top tight ends in the state and enjoyed his time in Fayetteville.

Otis Kirk: Razorbacks Planning On Large Number Of Official Visitors In January

by Otis Kirk, Hawgs247.com 12/29/2011 9:00 am

On paper, Arkansas doesn't have very many openings remaining on the Class of 2012, but that isn't stopping the Razorbacks from hosting a large number of prospects in January. The Razorbacks will have a big weekend on Jan. 20 when the basketball team plays host to Michigan, but will also host recruits on Jan. 13 and Jan. 27. Tim Horton, who is Arkansas' recruiting coordinator as well as running backs coach, likes the momentum Arkansas' 10-2 has caused among recruits. Arkansas also knows what a victory over No. 8 Kansas State in the Cotton Bowl on Jan. 6 could add to recruiting as well.
