Emmy-Award-winning TV host Darley Newman will dedicate an episode of her new "Travels with Darley" show to Little Rock, tourism leaders announced Tuesday. It will air this summer on PBS.

AETN welcomed the popular PBS program Antiques Roadshow to town and hosted a pre-event insiders’ reception at the Junior League of Little Rock Building. AETN board members, Antiques Roadshow appraisers and other special guests attended, and Whole Hog barbecue, cool beverages and mini pies were on the southern-themed menu.

On Wednesday, the TV series “Nova” will premiere its one-hour documentary special “Petra: Lost City of Stone” on PBS. University of Arkansas geoscience professor Tom Paradise, who has worked on the site in southern Jordan for 25 years, played a large role — on screen and off — in the production.

A documentary crew began filming Shiloh Christian football players last summer. The Saints, one of Arkansas’ most successful and polarizing programs, agreed to let the Frontline crew document the season as part of a piece on the growth of high school football. Frontline cameras also made their way to Arkansas Children’s hospital to as two local players struggled with the effects of heat stroke. How do these storyline intersect? Tonight at 8 p.m. PBS airs “Football High,” a 60-minute documentary compiled in the state last football season.
