Bahn: Credit Arkansas Athletic Department For Seeking Feedback From Razorback Fans

by Chris Bahn 10/11/2011 1:30 pm

Give Jeff Long and his staff credit for seeing areas they can improve and asking for feedback via a fan survey. Kudos to them for recognizing not all fans are happy, and being willing to open themselves up for suggestions. Ask for an opinion and there’s a really good chance you’ll hear something you don’t like. That’s the risk run with giving the customer a voice. But that’s the beauty of the survey. Arkansas is at least willing to listen. Doesn’t mean everyone will like the end result, but there’s at least an attempt at improving the product.

Harris: Mike Anderson Is Right Man for Arkansas Basketball Job

by Jim Harris 3/23/2011 11:58 pm

A small segment of the Arkansas basketball fan base turns quite vitriolic when talking about Nolan Richardson and the ugliness of his 2002 departure and ensuing discrimination lawsuit that ultimately was dismissed in court. But when people bring up his right hand man, Mike Anderson, that same group seems placated with the possibility that Anderson would lead the Razorbacks back to NCAA glory. Darned near everybody likes Mike, it seems. That's a good starting point for the reasons why Anderson is the right choice for the basketball vacancy at Fayetteville.
