by Jim Harris 8/31/2012 3:05 pm

Arkansas fans who were never around Jack Crowe, but only cheering or jeering from afar at Hog games, won't understand what type of person he is, especially with the media. He showed genius at times as the Arkansas offensive coordinator in 1989, before his sudden elevation to head coach in 1990. And now, as the veteran head coach at Jacksonville State, he'll bring a run-oriented team to Fayetteville to provide an adequate test for the Razorback defense.

by Chris Bahn 6/2/2012 10:00 pm

Arkansas and Texas A&M are opponents on the field. They often compete for recruits in a variety of sports. New legislation was passed by what was described as a “super majority” of SEC officials at the league’s recent spring meetings.

Razorbacks And Aggies 'Likely' Switching To Home-And-Home For Next Two Seasons

by Chris Bahn 2/20/2012 6:57 am

Arkansas’ official schedule still lists the site of the Texas A&M game as “TBD,” but the venue has most likely been determined for the next two years. Athletic Director Jeff Long said the schools will play home-and-home in 2012 and 2013, rather than in Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, where they’ve been the last three years. That means this season’s game will be at Kyle Field in College Station, Texas, and the 2013 game will be held at Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville.

Bahn: If Moving LSU Game Is Best For 2012, What's Best Beyond This Season?

by Chris Bahn 2/19/2012 8:54 am

Travel makes Little Rock dates on the Arkansas schedule very much road games. Passionate fans and great tailgating on the golf course don’t cut down on the nearly 200 miles that separate Fayetteville and Little Rock. Traditionally, it’s an inconvenience that the athletic department and coaches are willing to overlook. But with the LSU game moving to Fayetteville it makes it natural to wonder what this means for the future of two games played annually in War Memorial Stadium. That three-plus hour bus ride isn’t going to get any shorter. Transporting equipment and personnel doesn't suddenly become less of a pain.

by Chris Bahn 12/28/2011 8:36 pm

Athletic Director Jeff Long did not rule out the possibility of LSU moving from Little Rock to Fayetteville when discussing next year’s schedule. Long said he wants to wait until that time to decide between War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock or Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville.

by Jim Harris 9/18/2011 1:00 am

Playing two games against the worst teams you could schedule, and then jumping out to a 21-0 lead on your first three possessions against a reasonbly talented mid-major leads to the kind of second half Arkansas had in holding off the Sun Belt Conference's Troy Trojans 38-28 Saturday night.
