The occupancy rate in the Pulaski County industrial market continues to hover around 90 percent. During the first quarter this year, occupancy stood at 89.3 percent among 45.4 million SF tracked by Central Arkansas Commercial Data Exchange.
The vacancy rate for industrial real estate in central Arkansas fell to 10.7 percent in first-quarter 2014, compared with 11.2 percent in the previous quarter and 12.6 percent in first-quarter 2013. The local rate, however, remains above the national average of 9 percent. Locally, almost 187,000 SF was absorbed in the first quarter of the year.
Industrial space occupancy in the Pulaski County Market improved to 87.7 percent this spring, compared to 84.3 percent a year ago. Those figures are ginned from 864 properties with more than 45 million SF tracked by the Central Arkansas Commercial Data Exchange.
