Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has asked the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to toss out a ruling that would force the retailer to let shareholders vote on a proposal from a Manhattan Episcopal church concerned about firearm sales.

Wal-Mart Limiting Ammo Sales Due to Supply Issues

The world's largest retailer is limiting U.S. ammunition sales to three boxes of shells per day, per customer. Wal-Mart Stores Inc. said Thursday the restriction is in place because the supply of ammunition has become tight. Ashley Hardie, a spokeswoman for the Bentonville-based company, says Wal-Mart is monitoring its ability to meet demand and will lift the restrictions when it is able to.
