Southwestern Energy Co. of Houston reported a $355 million loss for its fourth quarter 2012, but praised activities stemming from its natural gas assets, including the Fayetteville Shale in Arkansas.

Southwestern Energy Co. of Houston has stated it will spend less money on its Fayetteville Shale assets in 2013. The company plans to spend $830 million in the area next year, compared to a little more than $1 billion in 2012.
