Perhaps Arkansas quarterback Tyler Wilson can’t do his relationship with offensive coordinator Paul Petrino justice with words. His spring practice performance provides as good an explanation as any of how well he and Petrino fit. It’s well documented the sort of spring Wilson had. He threw no interceptions in scrimmages and capped April by completing 31 of 41 passes for 467 yards with two touchdowns in the Red-White game.

One of the byproducts of Arkansas’ offensive system is the way it showcases different players from week-to-week. Any wide receiver is capable of a big game and often the go-to for the Razorbacks changes by game. There might be no better example than the fact Joe Adams and Jarius Wright are each closing in on the career receptions record for the Razorbacks. Adams ranks No. 3 on the career receptions list at Arkansas with 151. Wright is right behind him at 150.

Arkansas enjoyed a total team victory on Saturday. No doubt. The defense forced three turnovers and outside of two big plays and a couple of first-quarter touchdowns, held strong. Special teams chipped in as well, but it was that quick-strike run from Joe Adams lined up at tailback with 7:43 left in the third quarter that left no doubt the 74,191 fans on hand were watching an Arkansas victory.
