The 2013 Gala for Life benefiting the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute honored Sen. David and Barbara Pryor with the Pat & Willard Walker Tribute Award. Jennifer and Steve Ronnel served as event co-chairs of the gala, which drew more than 830 guests and raised over $1 million for the institute’s programs. Held at the Statehouse Convention Center, the event began with a reception and welcome, followed by a dinner of grilled steak Diane with asparagus, parmesan-crusted roasted tomato and parsnip puree. Guests then enjoyed a brief program, a live auction and live entertainment by The Temptations Review featuring Dennis Edwards.

Presented by the WRCI Foundationís Envoys, RockStar Lounge was held at the River Market Pavilions and featured live music by Dallas-based KISS tribute band Rock and Roll Over.
