Golf Digest's prestigious rankings of the best courses in the United States in its May 2011 issue placed Warren Stephens' The Alotian Club at No. 14. The 13 courses than rank ahead of it, some more than a century old, are without question among the best that will ever be constructed, and most new courses will be fortunate to copy some of their wondrous aesthetics. Alotian is the only Arkansas course to grace these rankings. In the state breakdown, Alotian and Pleasant Valley Country Club ranked 1-2.
