Advertising man Rob Bell knows what it’s like to be a creative middle-schooler. Growing up in Searcy, he and Isaac Alexander produced their first TV spot as a seventh-grade project. It was a VHS film for a reading class unit on propaganda, and it celebrated their new invention, an inflatable, portable toilet called the Quickie.

When Yarnell's closed down last summer, the Purple Cow restaurants couldn't use its vanilla ice cream to make purple milkshakes. Now, according to KTHV, Yarnell's returns to Purple Cow locations in Little Rock and Hot Springs.

Yarnell's Premium Ice Cream, which stopped production indefinitely June 30, has a tradition of featuring new flavors each year. We were sad that'd we'd never know what new flavors the company planned for fall and winter. Happily, we were able to find out what they were.

Sad news from Arkansas Business: Yarnell’s Ice Cream in Searcy is ceasing operations. Yarnell’s has been a staple for ice cream lovers in the state and the locally-owned brand (here’s the sports tie-in) put out a number of Arkansas Razorback-themed flavors over the years.
