Projected business formations (within four quarters), adjusted for seasonal variation, totaled 31,434 in November, an increase of 6.2% compared with October, the U.S. Census Bureau reported last month.

“The projected business formation are forward looking, providing an estimate of the number of new business startups that will appear from the cohort of business applications in a given months,” the bureau noted.
