Don Weaver of El Paso Elected To Chair National Transportation Nonprofit

Don Weaver has been elected chairman of the board of The Road Information Program (TRIP), a national transportation research nonprofit organization based in Washington. He has been a member of TRIP’s board of directors since 2004 and was appointed to its executive committee in 2008.

Weaver is executive vice president of Weaver Bailey Contractors Inc. of El Paso (White County), a concrete paver that “strongly supports TRIP’s efforts to increase public awareness of the need to invest in America’s surface transportation system and I look forward to leading this fine organization,” a news release said.

Weaver is a past chairman of the Associated General Contractors of America’s Highway & Transportation Division and past president of AGC Arkansas. He served as chairman of the Conway Chamber of Commerce’s Vision 2025 Transportation Study Group, and he has also been involved with the University of Central Arkansas Foundation, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock’s School of Building Construction Advisory Board and the University of Arkansas School of Architecture Circle of Friends.
