Arkansas Foodbank Hires Jayne Ann Kita as Chief Program Officer


The Arkansas Foodbank has hired Jayne Ann Kita as its new chief program officer, the organization announced Tuesday.

She will oversee strategic planning and oversight of all program activities to ensure that food is distributed equitably to member agencies throughout the agency's 33-county service area, according to a news release. Kita also will make sure those agencies are provided with proper education, training and resources.

Previously, Kita worked for the Arkansas Coalition Against Domestic Violence, serving as its executive director from 2004 to 2013.

The Arkansas Foodbank is the largest food bank in Arkansas with warehouses in Little Rock and Warren that serve approximately 300 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, schools and other agencies.
