Sources tell us that Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. of Denver will open a Conway location possibly early next year.
The fast-casual restaurant chain already has five locations in Arkansas, and is expected to open a location at 915 E. Oak St. in Conway.
We told you in December that Tulsa investor Ryan McNeill had bought the former home of Superior Chevrolet for $3 million in September. McNeill’s plans were to divide the 6.2-acre property into as many as five lots that will be anchored by a hotel.
As of Thursday, Chipotle doesn’t have any permits on file with the city of Conway, but they are in the works.
A spokeswoman for Chiplote said the restaurant doesn’t talk about new openings until a lease is signed and construction has been scheduled.
And she didn’t have anything showing for a Conway location. Still, the spokeswoman said to check back in early 2016 “and we should have more information to share with you.”
