Boy Scouts Elect David Briscoe President of Quapaw Area Council (Movers & Shakers)

Dr. David Briscoe, professor of sociology at UALR, has been elected president of the Quapaw Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He has served on the board of the Quapaw Council for the past 22 years. As president, Briscoe leads an executive board of 60 community leaders, ranging from judges and doctors to business administrators.


Angie Albright has been hired as new director of the historic Clinton House Museum in Fayetteville, which was the first home of Bill and Hillary Clinton and the site where they married. Albright will be responsible for the museum’s operations, marketing, exhibits and programs.

She currently serves on the boards of the Jackson L. Graves Foundation and Feed Communities and is a member of the Community Leadership Council of the Single Parent Scholarship Fund of NWA.


Clint Gaston of Gaston’s White River Resort; Heather Loftis of KTLO-FM; Jake Long, superintendent of the Mountain Home School District; Christy Keirn of Arkansas State University-Mountain Home; Kim Crow Sheaner of the Donald W. Reynolds Library in Baxter County; and Gregory Wood of Hospice of the Ozarks have all been elected to the Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce board of directors for the 2017-19 term.
