Chelsea Wakefield To Lead Program Within UAMS Psychiatry Department (Movers & Shakers)
Dr. Chelsea Wakefield of the Department of Psychiatry in the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences

Dr. Chelsea Wakefield has joined the faculty of the Department of Psychiatry in the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.

She will establish a program to treat those with issues related to interpersonal relationships. She was previously an assistant professor at the university. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a master’s in social work and a Ph.D. in clinical sexology.


Nitin Agarwal has been nominated by the International Academy, Research & Industry Association for an international fellowship for the winter of 2016 through the spring of 2017. He is one of 10 people to be nominated worldwide and one of five to come from the U.S.

Agarwal is currently a Jerry L. Maulden-Entergy endowed chair and information science professor at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He is also the director of the UALR Center of Social Media & Online Behavioral Studies and specializes in social media research.
