Millie Ward, co-founder and president of Stone Ward of Little Rock, will speak as part of the University of Central Arkansas College of Business' Davis Family Lecture Series on Feb. 9.
Ward will present her lecture, "War Stories and Observational Advice From an Old Ad Girl," from 1:40–2:30 p.m. in the College of Business Auditorium on campus. Admission is free and open to the public.
Ward established Stone Ward, an advertising, marketing and public relations agency with offices in Chicago, along with Larry Stone in 1984. Stone is chairman and executive creative director.
Among the firm's clients are the U.S. Soccer Federation, Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield, Baptist Health, the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission, Deltic Timber Corp. and the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce.
In 2014, Ward was the first woman inducted outright into the Arkansas Business Hall of Fame and has received numerous other honors while serving on a number of boards and committees, with her most recent appointment to the Little Rock Federal Reserve Board of Directors.
The Davis Family Lecture Series was created to feature prominent business community members who have made a significant impact on business.
