JRMC Names Brian Thomas President, CEO

1 min read

Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff said Tuesday that its board of directors had named Brian Thomas as its new president and CEO.

Thomas has been interim CEO since March, when former CEO Walter Johnson and Executive Vice President Thomas Harbuck left the hospital after a disagreement with the directors over management style.

Johnson had been CEO since 2009; Harbuck joined JRMC in 1994.

Before taking the interim role, Thomas was JRMC’s senior vice president and chief operating officer. He’s been with the hospital since 2010.

“I, along with the CEO search committee and JHA Board of Directors, have complete confidence in Brian Thomas and his ability to lead this organization to future success,” said Chuck Morgan, chairman of the JRMC Board of Directors.
