Regulators Approve Merger of Windstream, EarthLink

Windstream Holdings Inc. of Little Rock announced Tuesday that it has received all state and federal regulatory approvals required for its merger with EarthLink Holdings Corp. of Atlanta.

The companies will hold special meetings with their respective stockholders on Feb. 24 in connection with the merger, which is expected to close in the first quarter.

Windstream also announced that it will hold a conference call at 7:30 a.m. March 1 to review its fourth-quarter and full-year 2016 earnings results. The call will also be streamed live on the company's website.

Windstream and Earthlink announced the merger in November, and their agreement includes an all-stock deal valued at about $1.1 billion, including debt.
