Farm Bureau Appoints Two to State Women's Committee (Movers & Shakers)

Alechia Meador has been appointed to the Farm Bureau’s State Women’s Committee. Meador, who raises cattle and chickens with her husband on 430 acres, currently serves on the Carroll County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee.

Donna Bemis has been appointed vice chair of the State Women’s Committee.

She and her husband have owned and operated Bemis Tree Farm in Pulaski County since 1992. Bemis also serves on the Pulaski County Farm Bureau board of directors.


Steve Cleland has been hired as a resource conservationist at the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service in Little Rock. He previously served as a field soil conservationist at the service in Alabama and has been with the USDA for 20 years.

Cleland will be providing statewide technical support for agency business tools such as the Customer Service Toolkit and Conservation Desktop, the Conservation Client Gateway and the Technical Service Provider Registry.
