Citizens Bank To Break Ground on New Headquarters

Citizens Bank on Wednesday announced that a groundbreaking ceremony for its new headquarters at 655 St. Louis St. in Batesville has been scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Spokesman Chuck Jones declined to disclose an estimated cost for the project.

The bank said its new headquarters would have a modern design that incorporates limestone, slate, heavy aluminum and wood panels, and high performance glass curtain walls.

Construction is expected begin the week of Aug. 21, with completion in 15-18 months.

President and CEO Phil Baldwin said in a news release, “This groundbreaking will intensify the strong ties that already exist between Citizens Bank and the Batesville community.”

The bank also announced that its downtown location at 200 S. Third St. would remain open as its statewide operations center.

The new headquarters was designed by CADM Architecture Inc. of El Dorado. Clark Contractors LLC of Little Rock will manage the project. Building materials will come from local businesses.
