MISSION
Just Communities of Arkansas' (JCA) mission is to build communities — through education, celebration and advocacy — where every person is valued, every voice is heard, and everyone has a fair chance to succeed. Our purpose is to transform Arkansas into the nation’s most inclusive, equitable and upwardly mobile place for all who live, work or play here.
Originally founded over 50 years ago as the state field office for the National Conference for Christians and Jews (known as NCCJ of Arkansas), JCA is dedicated to improving educational achievement, economic outcomes and overall quality of life through dismantling systems of discrimination and injustice and building bridges of understanding, dignity and respect for all Arkansans.
GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
- Student Scholarships - $450 enables a student who otherwise could not afford to attend Ourtown for Teens, a week-long residential social justice leadership retreat.
- Materials for Youth Creative Expression Workshop - $200 provides supplies for a program that fosters inclusion while helping young people find their voice.
- Anti-Bullying Programming - $50 or more supports Minitown, a workshop that helps children work together to create a safe, inclusive school environment for all.
All gifts to JCA support transformative and positive change on individual, organizational and systemic levels.
