CHI St. Vincent Readies $50M Plan for Central Arkansas
CHI St. Vincent is expected to spend more than $50 million over several years on its operations in Arkansas.

CHI St. Vincent of Little Rock is expected to release details in January on a multi-year strategic plan that calls for spending more than $50 million.

CHI St. Vincent will invest in central Arkansas, where it has its flagship hospital in Little Rock, and in Hot Springs, where it also has a hospital. CHI has hospitals in Morrilton and Sherwood and manages the Conway Regional Health System.

Officials at CHI St. Vincent had been working on the plan for several months, and it was recently approved by Catholic Health Initiatives of Englewood, Colorado, the Catholic Church-owned parent company of the St. Vincent hospitals.

It’s unclear if the move is in response to the August announcement that Little Rock competitors Baptist Health and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences would partner on clinical and academic efforts.
