J.D. Lowery, manager of community and economic development at the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas in Little Rock, has been named state director for Arkansas on the board of directors of the Southern Economic Development Council of Atlanta.

Christopher Dickie has joined the loan origination team at the Little Rock branch of First Community Bank of Batesville.

Dickie was previously director of admissions at the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville. 

R.L. Qualls of Little Rock, the former CEO of Baldor Electric Co. of Fort Smith, will be honored next month as the 2018 national alumnus of the year by Mississippi State University at Starkville.
