The Conductor announced Friday its plans to host a National Collegiate Venture Competition that will award student entrepreneurs a total of $15,000 in cash prizes.
College students or recent college graduates with operating ventures are invited to apply by March 5, and there is no fee to do so. Click here to apply.
The Conductor will announce the winners on March 28.
A judging panel of venture capitalists and entrepreneurial icons will review the submissions to award a first-place prize of $10,000 and a second-place prize of $5,000.
Unlike traditional business plan competitions, the National Collegiate Venture Competition is limited to operating ventures with actual clients and recurring revenue.
In addition to their applications, the companies will be asked to submit a 60-second video, lean canvas and have a faculty sponsor from their college or university.
The Conductor is public-private initiative of the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Startup Junkie Consulting of Fayetteville and the Central Arkansas Venture Team aimed at driving entrepreneurship and innovation.
