Arkansas State Promotes, Gives Raise to Athletic Director

1 min read

JONESBORO — Arkansas State athletic director Terry Mohajir has a new title and a raise.

ASU announced Friday that Mohajir has signed a contract extension that names him vice chancellor for intercollegiate athletics through June 2023.

The announcement does not reveal his new salary. The Jonesboro Sun reports that Mohajir will receive $450,000 per year, an increase of $145,000 annually, with the salary paid by a combination of state and private funding.

ASU Chancellor Kelly Damphousse said he wants to keep Mohajir “for the foreseeable future” because of his success in athletics, fundraising and graduation rates of athletes.

Mohajir said he is “humbled and honored” by the confidence shown in him.

His previous contract was to expire in June 2020.
