CHI St. Vincent of Little Rock announced on Monday it acquired the Little Rock Diagnostic Clinic, a multi-specialty clinic which provides care to patients in central Arkansas.
The transaction will add 34 providers, including physicians, physician assistants and advanced practice nurse practitioners to the CHI St. Vincent Medical Group, said St. Vincent CEO Chad Aduddell.
Arkansas Business reported on Sept. 17 that LRDC was in talks to do a deal with CHI St. Vincent Medical Group.
Financial terms of the transaction, which closed on Sept. 22, weren’t disclosed. CHI St. Vincent will create a joint operating committee between CHI St. Vincent Medical Group and members of LRDC to operate the clinic.
“The [LRDC] providers are still very much involved in day-to-day decision making of how they operate their clinic,” Aduddell said.
Other than the name change to CHI St. Vincent Little Rock Diagnostic Clinic, patients shouldn’t notice a difference, Aduddell said.
Aduddell said the LRDC was an attractive acquisition because it had specialists that CHI St. Vincent didn’t have.
“We didn't have rheumatology,” he said. “Pulmonology has been another gap.”
And CHI St. Vincent only employed one neurologist.
“The addition of their network will enable us to offer a comprehensive network of services,” Aduddell said. “The addition of their internists and endocrinologist helps us expand access to services for the patients we service.”
Founded in 1961, LRDC has more than 32 medical diagnostic specialists in neurology, rheumatology and pulmonology.

CHI St. Vincent Medical Group has more than 300 doctors and medical providers throughout Arkansas.
