Simmons Bank Names David Stogsdill SVP of Commercial Banking

Simmons Bank said this week that it has named David Stogsdill senior vice president of commercial banking. 

In the role, Stogsdill will lead customer acquisition and oversee growth for commercial clients in central Arkansas. 

"David exemplifies all the qualities that set our bank apart," Jay Meador, Simmons Bank's lending manager and president of private banking in Arkansas, said in a news release. "He is respected in our community, and we are eager for our clients to experience his passion, excellence and solutions-oriented approach to their needs."

Stogsdill's joins Simmons with more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. He began at Nuvell Financial Services, where he was selected for the Nuvell Financial Fundamental Leadership Development and Management Program. 

In 2013, Stogsdill was recognized as the William H. Bowen Commercial Sales Person of the Year by former employer Regions Bank. 

A graduate of Ouachita Baptist University and Leadership Greater Little Rock Class XXXIII, Stogsdill serves as a board member for Heart of Arkansas United Way. He is a past board member for the Central Arkansas RMA and Centers for Youth and Families Young Professionals Board, and a past committee member for Arkansas Foodbank's Empty Bowls Fundraiser.
