Lone Star Communications (Lone Star Communications)

Lone Star Communications, a Texas-based life safety company with offices in Houston and Grand Prairie, recently acquired ArCom Systems of North Little Rock.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

ArCom Systems is a low-voltage life safety equipment supplier to the commercial, education and health care markets in Arkansas and Louisiana. Its products include fire alarms, nurse call systems, video surveillance equipment and access control equipment.

ArCom supports 152 hospitals with life safety equipment. Each hospital will become part of the Lone Star Communications family, expanding Lone Star's reach to 456 hospitals in five states.

ArCom Founder David Watson Jr. will join the Lone Star team, helping with the integration and expansion of the education group for the first year.

"Providers today are intensely focused on consistent quality outcomes and outstanding patient experiences," Lone Star President Ray Bailey said. "As their workloads have increased profoundly over the past few years, clinical workflow automation has become essential.

"The combined depth of experience makes Lone Star one of the most highly specialized and talent-rich clinical systems integrators in the state of Texas, and now we will expand our ability to help the Providers in the Arkansas and Louisiana markets to measurably improve quality and lower operating costs."

Lone Star will also gain 55 employees from the acquisition, leaving it with more than 200 employees.
