Pinnacle Foods Opens New Warehouse In Fayetteville

1 min read

Consumer packaged foods company Pinnacle Foods Inc. of Parsippany-Troy Hills, New Jersey, announced Tuesday the grand opening of its 164,000-SF warehouse in Fayetteville.

They warehouse is connected to its manufacturing building on the southern side of Fayetteville. The expansion creates nearly 30 new jobs.

Fayetteville is the company’s frozen meal hub, producing products like EVOL, Hungry-Man and Swanson pot pies for Canadian distribution plus other frozen products.

“The location of the warehouse by the plant eliminates additional handling and transportation costs to move finished goods to off-site locations,” Chad Whyte, vice president of logistics and warehousing for Pinnacle Foods, said in a news release. “This will eliminate more than 130,000 miles of tractor-trailer traffic from Interstate 49.”

According to the city’s Sustainability Department, the reduction of miles on the highway equates to about 21,452 gallons of fuel saved and 218 fewer metric tons of carbon dioxide.
