Saline Health System in Benton has named Michael Stewart its new CEO, effective Nov. 30.
Stewart has nearly 15 years of experience in health care leadership. He succeeds Bob Trautman, who resigned in June.
He comes to Saline Health from Navarro Regional Hospital in Corsicana, Texas, where he has served as CEO since 2006.
Before that, Stewart spent two years as the COO and administrator for Northwest Health System in Springdale and seven years in executive leadership roles at hospitals in California and Florida.
Before working in health care, Stewart spent four years in the Air Force. He rose to the rank of captain while serving at two bases in Texas.
He received his master’s in business administration from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin and his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M in College Station, Texas.
