Debbie Griffin, the chief operating officer of the Greater Bentonville Area Chamber of Commerce, is leaving.

Griffin, 53, told the chamber’s board of directors her decision Thursday morning. Griffin said she would stay until the end of the month.

Griffin joined the chamber in 2015 as vice president of marketing and communications. She was promoted to executive vice president and COO on Jan. 1, 2018.

“I’m going to take some time to reset and see what’s next,” Griffin said. “I’m exploring some opportunities. 2018 was a pivotal year for the chamber, and we’re looking forward to a great 2019.”
