Trucking Head Werner Hugo Leaves USA Truck

Werner Hugo, the senior vice president of trucking operations for USA Truck Inc. in Van Buren, has resigned.

The company announced Hugo’s departure in a short filing with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission on Friday. USA Truck said Hugo’s resignation date the previous date but didn’t release any other details.

Hugo joined USA Truck in May 2017 to replace Martin Tewari. His salary for 2017 was $250,000, which was bumped up to $275,000 beginning April 1, 2018.

According to the company’s proxy statement in 2018, Hugo’s total compensation was $582,915 for fiscal year 2017; USA Truck is expected to release its executive compensation for 2018 next month.

In February, USA Truck announced its trucking division had revenue of $347.8 million for fiscal 2018, up from $302.1 million the previous year.
