The Little Rock Regional Chamber announced Wednesday a new partnership with the local SCORE chapter of Little Rock.

Little Rock SCORE is a resource partner of the Small Business Administration that provides free and confidential business counseling for small businesses.

The chamber will host office hours for SCORE mentors to meet with small businesses and potential small businesses. SCORE mentors are experienced business owners who volunteer their time to guide other businesses.

Starting on May 7, SCORE mentors will be available at the chamber every first and third Tuesday of the month from 2 to 4 p.m. The mentor meetings will be 30 minutes long.

"Small businesses are the lifeblood of our economy," said Jay Chesshir, president and CEO of the chamber, in a news release. "Having SCORE mentors at our offices will not only aid small businesses but will provide a starting point for aspiring startups. We are grateful to SCORE for this partnership and look forward to its success."

To set an appointment, email or call Brandon Campbell, the chamber's director of small business at or (501) 377-6031.
