Simmons Bank on Wednesday named Itzel Meador its Small Business Association regional manager of sales and business development.
Meador's responsibilities include SBA loan production, oversight of Simmons' SBA lending processes and customer experience across the bank's eight-state footprint.
Meador previously worked as vice president in the commercial lending group at Regions Bank in Arkansas. Before that, she was senior vice president at Arkansas Capital Corp., a nonprofit lending company that specializes in SBA lending.
"Itzel's passion for serving small business owners is unparalleled and is backed by outstanding experience in the Arkansas market," Mark Wilson, Simmons Bank director of small business lending, said in a news release. "She is a tremendous asset to our customers and team, and her expertise will further solidify Simmons' position as a top 100 SBA lender in the country."
A graduate of the University of Texas in Dallas, Meador is a member of the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce, a board member for the Small Business Technology Development Center and treasurer of the Children's Protection Center.
Meador also serves on the loan committee for Rural Missouri Incorporated (RMI), a certified development company that processes SBA 504 loans.
