Tyson Foods Inc. of Springdale said Friday that Jonathan D. Mariner, 64, had joined its board of directors.
Mariner is a private investor and entrepreneur who recently retired after 23 years in professional sports. He previously served as chief financial officer for the Office of the Commissioner of Major League Baseball.
Before working at Major League Baseball, Mariner was the CFO for the Florida Marlins Baseball Club, Florida Panthers Hockey Club and Dolphins Stadium. He was also a director for Ultimate Software, which ranked No. 8 on Fortune’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” list for 2019.
Mariner is currently the founder and president of TaxDay LLC, a private software firm that creates apps designed to help users keep track of their multi-state travel.
