Mark Young and William “Goose” Changose have joined the board of directors of the Arkansas Association of Asian Businesses.
Young is the president and CEO of the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce and Jonesboro Unlimited.
Changose, a retired U.S. Air Force colonel and aviator, is a founding partner of the Natural State Law firm of Little Rock.
Tom Risch has been named vice provost for research and technology transfer and the executive director of the Arkansas Biosciences Institute at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.
The holder of the Judd Hill Endowed Chair of Environmental Biology, Risch joined A-State in 2001 and previously served as chair of the Department of Biological Sciences.
Summer DeProw’s appointment as assistant vice chancellor for assessment and accreditation at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro has been made permanent.
DeProw was made interim assistant vice chancellor in the fall of 2017, prior to A-State’s most recent Higher Learning Commission site visit in the spring of 2018. A-State received accreditation renewal with HLC in June 2018.
Cathy Naylor has been named employee training and development coordinator for the Division of Finance & Administration.
Naylor, an A-State graduate, previously served as assistant director of budget and planning for the Division of Academic Affairs & Research.
Andy Nicholson, radiology director at White River Medical Center in Batesville, was recently selected to serve on the board of directors of the Arkansas Society of Radiologic Technologists.
David Hutchison joined Lyon College at Batesville earlier this year as vice president of advancement.
He was previously executive director of advancement and alumni programs at Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri, where he successfully executed a $20 million capital campaign and added $4 million to the university’s endowment.
