Site and Ownership Changes on Marijuana Commission Agenda

2 min read

The Arkansas Medical Marijuana Commission will meet at 4:30 Wednesday afternoon in Little Rock to discuss company name, location and floor-plan changes, as well as four requests for ownership changes among the 37 businesses licensed in the state’s burgeoning medical cannabis industry.

The five-member commission, led by Dr. Ronda Henry-Tillman, will consider name changes for Delta Cultivators of Helena-West Helena, which has been doing business as Greenlight Dispensary, and Rock City Harvest LLC of Conway.

Robbin Rahman, a Little Rock lawyer and son of Rock City Harvest co-owner Mizan Rahman, said the name matter was rather minor.

“Our fictitious business name is ‘Harvest Cannabis Dispensary,’ which is what we intend to use as our operating business name,” Robbin Rahman told Arkansas Business. “The ABC wanted us to file a formal notice of change of information to use that name.”

The Alcoholic Beverage Control division of the Arkansas Department of Finance & Administration oversees medical marijuana enforcement in the state.

“Hopefully it’s just a formality,” Rahman said.

The commission meeting, at 1515 W. Seventh St., will also weigh ownership changes at Fiddler’s Green of Mountain View, Osage Creek Cultivation of Berryville, Natural State Medical Group of Garland County and Native Green Wellness of Hensley. Native Green is also scheduled for a pre-opening state inspection on June 25.

Natural State Medical, owned by Mary C. Caroom, Tammy Ives, James Adametz, Julia Hart, Mel Collozo and Susan Melton, is also requesting a change in location, according to the meeting agenda, distributed by DF&A.

Fiddler’s Green’s current ownership is Lisa Murphy, Thomas Asewiez, Kent Thomas, James Booth and Amanda Woods. Osage Creek is owned by Mary Reba Trulove and Jay William Trulove. Native Green Wellness is owned by Kattie Hansen, Walter Koon, Leslie Duncan and Chris Olsen.

Six cannabis dispensaries are seeking changes in floor plans, and a temporary permit is on the agenda for Natural Relief Dispensary of Sherwood, owned by Michael Faught and Scott Snyder.

Arkansas Natural Products is scheduled to open its dispensary in Clinton this week, and the ABC has inspected and approved it.

Fiddler’s Green in Mountain View and Greenlight Dispensary in Helena-West Helena are also ready for inspection, but no date has been set.
