Greenway Equipment Buys 3 John Deere Dealerships

John Deere dealer Greenway Equipment of Weiner has acquired three dealerships in Morrilton, Russellville and Damascus from Maus Implement.

The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed, and Greenway began operating the dealerships on Monday.

The purchase means Greenway now has 31 locations and 650 employees, including the 45 who were working at the Maus dealerships.

Senior Vice President Rick Bormann said in an email to Arkansas Business that no personnel changes are planned right now.

"Additional employees will be added in the near future to enhance customer experience," he said. "Greenway continuously looks for expansion opportunities that enhance our current area of responsibility.

"The three locations were contiguous to our operation prior to the acquisition, making this a logical addition," he continued. "Additionally, Maus Implement and Greenway are both committed to taking care of their customers which makes this transition much easier. We always expand by adding to our current operation which allows us to leverage our current management staff and workforce."

CEO Marshall Stewart called the deal "a great opportunity for not only Greenway, but for the customers and employees in the Maus organization."

Maus has been a high-performing John Deere dealer for many years, according to the release, and celebrated its 75th year in business this year.

"Many of their metrics, such as customer experience, mirror the high performance of Greenway," Stewart said.
