Even With Rebranding, Casey Kinsey Keeping Lofty Goals
Lofty CEO Casey Kinsey founded the Fayetteville company in 2013.

Casey Kinsey’s company has a new look, a mostly new name and new goals.

Kinsey founded the software development company Lofty Labs in 2013 in Fayetteville. The company is best known for its web development work for companies such as Amazon Web Services, PBS and CBRE Group Inc. of Los Angeles.

The company is now known simply as Lofty — Kinsey said some customers would wander into the store asking about lab services — and the new brand made its debut at the Northwest Arkansas Tech Summit in late October in Rogers. Kinsey joked that he chose Lofty Labs just as a filler name when he founded the company.

Kinsey said he had been wanting to change the name for several years. Internally, he said, everyone who worked there called the company Lofty, as did its customers.

“We wanted to make it one word, quick and easy,” Kinsey said. “It feels more like an established brand.”

The company has established itself in the software development world. Revenue surpassed $500,000 in 2016, and Kinsey said revenue will finally reach $1 million this year, which has been a long-time goal of his.

“Remember when I said $1 million was as big as I wanted to get? I lied,” Kinsey said.
