CEO to Retire From Snell Prosthetics & Orthotics

1 min read

CEO Rick Fleetwood will retire from Snell Prosthetics & Orthotics, effective Jan. 31.

The company’s owner, Frank Snell, will continue to serve as president and will assume the CEO position upon Fleetwood’s retirement.

Fleetwood joined the 109-year-old company in 1975 as general manager of its Little Rock office. He was promoted to CEO in 2000. During his tenure, Fleetwood helped oversee the expansion of the company from one single central location to ten locations across the state.

He also played a critical role in helping the company adapt to significant changes in reimbursement, regulation, compliance, educational requirements and state licensure.

When Fleetwood joined Snell, computers didn’t exist in the office, and most O&P devices were still being fabricated from decades old methods.

“Rick has contributed so much to our company’s success over the past 45 years and his achievements will not be forgotten,” said Frank Snell. “He has always been a champion for those with disabilities and his extensive volunteerism is unmatched in the industry and serves as an example for all to follow. He is admired by many, and his influence has made an indelible impact on generations of professionals.”

The company has offices in Little Rock, Russellville, Fort Smith, Mountain Home, Pine Bluff, Fayetteville, North Little Rock, Hot Springs, Conway and Bryant.
