Nic Joubert joined Arkansas Urology as the chief clinical services officer in January 2020.
“Nic’s knowledge of day-to-day operations in the health care system makes him an asset to Arkansas Urology,” said Scot Davis, CEO of the urology practice. “He possesses a proven track record of launching successful clinics and effectively managing and working alongside his staff. His expertise will continue to elevate our level of patient care.”
Joubert graduated from the Baptist School of Nursing RN program in 2008 and began his nursing career in the operating room at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. During this time, he also moonlighted in the same position at CHI St. Vincent.
After three years in the operating room, Joubert was promoted to neurosurgery supervisor at CHI St. Vincent. After working in this role for two years, he was recruited by UAMS to run its Cardiovascular Surgery Department. He later was promoted to surgical services manager until he was recruited to run UAMS’s Value Analysis Department. During this time, Joubert returned to school and received his BSN from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
He was recruited by CHI St. Vincent to be the clinical resource manager for all of its hospitals in Arkansas. He has previously served as the vice president of the Association of Operating Room Nurses and is a member of AORN, the American Nurses Association, the Association of Value Analysis Professionals, the Association for Health Care Resource & Materials Management and the Society of Urologic Nurses & Associates.
Dr. J. Greg Baden was elected president and CEO of Radiology Consultants. He joined Radiology Consultants in 2004, coming to the practice from MidSouth Imaging in Memphis.
Amar Kanekar, associate professor and graduate coordinator of health education and promotion at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, has received a certification mark for course design quality from Quality Matters of Annapolis, Maryland.
Curtis Barnett has been appointed by Gov. Asa Hutchinson to the board of trustees of the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. A 1986 UCA graduate and a native of Sherwood, Barnett is president and chief executive officer of Arkansas Blue Cross & Blue Shield in Little Rock.
